We are so thankful that you are joining us this month as we unite in prayer.
God wants each of us to have our own Significant Prayer Life with Him. That is our time to connect, to listen, and to share our heart with our Lord and Savior.
This first week in October, we are focusing on praying for marriages and the attack on nuclear families. As marriage rates continue to decline, we know God’s plan set forth from the beginning for man and woman.
“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” – Matthew 19:4-6
You don’t have to look far to see that nuclear families are under attack and being questioned. The family unit isn’t as common as it once was within our media and culture today. Let us ask God to restore His design for marriages and families throughout this land.
There are so many in struggling marriages. So many are also living with a spouse who may not believe in Jesus. Let’s ask God to work in those relationships, to restore the relationships, to heal, and to turn hearts to Him.
Dear Father,
Today we lift up marriages. We pray you protect them and guard them from the evil one. We pray restoration for broken marriages. We lift up those in relationships where one may not believe in you; we pray you turn their hearts to you right now. Lord, we pray Your will be done, in Your time, as You work in homes across our country right now. We pray that you alone are central to each and every marriage and family. Lord, bless marriages, strengthen them, may they glorify you always. We pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Feel free to insert into the prayer the names of those close to you that are in a hurting marriage or those who may not follow Jesus.
Let us unite as one across this country in prayer this week.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” -1 Chronicles 7:14
Have a blessed week,
Pastor Jim and Tamara
